Певица, актриса. Играла на Бродвее [Broadway]. В кино славу ей принесли роли в мюзиклах [musical] "Смешная девчонка" ["Funny Girl"] (1968) - премия "Оскар" [Oscar], "Хэлло, Долли" ["Hello, Dolly"] (1968), "Как дела, Док?" ["What's Up, Doc?"] (1972) и др. Снималась также в фильмах "Филин и кошечка" ["The Owl and the Pussycat"] (1970), "Такими мы были" ["The Way We Were"] (1973), "Смешная дама" ["Funny Lady"] (1975), "И родилась звезда" ["A Star Is Born"] (1976) - премия "Оскар" за песню, "Йентл" ["Yentl"] (1983), "Главное событие" ["The Main Event"] (1979), "Чокнутые" ["Nuts"] (1987), "Повелитель приливов" ["The Prince of Tides"] (1991) и др.
